How to program CEM to get key

Hey all,

starting a new thread as it seems not fitting the other threads well.
I got VIDA (Online) running. Now I want to get a "VIDA diag log with a "configuration test" in it or anything with a programming on the CEM" as stated in the CEM PIN thread.
However, how do I do this? Do I have to order a "configuration test", see screenshot?

Yeah, order a configuration test. That does the necessary when run to generate a seed / key which we can do the PIN think from

Would suggest running fiddler (https capture enables) and wireshark when in session. Will make sure you have everything available!

Info for others: The configuration test has to be ordered and you have to login with your volvotechinfo.com account in the popup, not the VIDA account. You will be charged 0.01$ and have to go through the same order process you did to get VIDA.

Correct.

It is the same procedure and cost for the Total Upgrade sw. If you do run the Total Upgrade, make sure you run, besides the sniffer, the watchdog to capture all the transient VBF files.

Other sw maybe available. The price of most are in the $40-80 range though…

What other SW is there? I assume sniffer could be Wireshark?
And what do you mean with watchdog? Watchdog I know from software implementation but not from capturing data.

In my 2017 XC90 T6 I ran in the past:

If you have a similar car the sw maybe the same. If it doesn't appear in the All Sw list, and it is available for your car, you may enter the sw part number manually.

If you have 360 camera, you can also calibrate it using VIDA, if it is with a poor rendering or distortion (this last one I don't think there is any cost).

Are my assumptions correct that I need to purchase a VIDA subscription with the software ordering package in order to buy a configuration test? If so, looks like this is ~$70-$80 USD minimum since software ordering requires other packages (diag, parts, service, etc.) before I can even buy a configuration test, does that seem correct or is there a cheaper VIDA subscription that I can pay for that will give me access to buying a configuration test?
