Anything! If it is loaded onto a ECU then it will need to unlock it.

But it's not just a case of the software being able to unlock. It's VIDA that provides the PIN for the key / seed exchange.

So if you do a total upgrade for example you'll get the key / seed exchanges for all the ECUs updates and from that you can create the PINs.
